Katie cut out a rectangular piece of wrapping paper that was 2 times as long and 3 times as wide as the box that she was wrapping. The box was 5inches long and 4 inches wide. What is the perimeter of the wrapping paper that katie cut?

    2*5=10

    3*4=12

    10+10+12+12=44 inches

    you add 10 and 12 twice because you have to account for the top and bottom of the piece of wrapping paper as well as the left and right sides of it
