There is a 25% chance that a canal will flood during any given year. What is the experimental probability that the canal will flood in at least 1 of the next 6 years?

    Probability of flooding = 25/100

    = 0.25 lets call it p

    So probability of not flooding = 1-0.25 = 0.75. Lets call it q

    So to find the probability of flooding in 1 out of 6 we use combination.

    Probabilty = 6C1p^1q^5

    Probabilty = 6 * 0.25^1 * 0.75^5

    Probability = 0.356
