    Base = x-4

    Height = x+4

    Area = Base*Height/2

    Area = ((x-4) * (x+4)) / 2

    Area = (x^2+4x-4x-16) / 2

    Area = (x^2-16) / 2

    Answer is 4, assuming that's a x^2 and not a 2x or something
