If the perimeter is 26 and the length of one side of the rectangle is 5cm longer than its breadth,

    26 - 5 - 5 = 16

    16 / 4 = 4 (rectangle has 4 sides.)

    the breadth is 4cm.

so the length must be 4+5=9cm.
