Of the students in your class, 12% are left-handed. What fraction of the students are left-handed? Are there more right-handed or left-handed students? Explain. Write your answers in simplest form.

    In percentage, 100% is the basis. 12% is 12/100 or simplified to 6/50

    100% - 12% = 88% of the students in class are right handed.

    Assuming the number of students in class is 100. Then, 12% of the class is 12 and 88% of the class is 88.

    Comparing 12% and 88% it is clear that there are more right-handed students in class than there are left-handed students.
