In a standard deck of cards there are 52 cards. 13 cards per suit and 4 suits. There are 4 queens in a deck. A queen of hearts (red,) a queen of diamonds (red,) a queen of clubs (black,) and a queen of spades (black.) That means that there are two black queens in a deck of 52 cards. Therefore the probability is 2 out of 52 or 2/52. This also simplifies to 1 out of 26 or 1/26.

    Standard deck: 54 card

there is only 1 type of each card

2 types of each color card

4 types of each number or sign card

there are 2 black types in a card deck spades-clubs

    so 2/54 or 1/26
