    19 dimes, 22 nickels

    Step-by-step explanation:

    dimes 'd' 10 cents each

    nickel 'n' 5 cents each

    10d + 5n = 300

    n + d = 41

    d = 41 - n

    10 (41 - n) + 5n = 300

    410 - 10n + 5n = 300

    -5n = - 110

    n = 22

    d = 41 - n = 41 - 22 = 19
