Remember you can do anything to an eqyation as long as you do it to both sides (with inequalities, flip sign when multiply or divide by negative)

    2i<6u

we see that 2 is a common facotr

    divide both sides by 2

    2/2i<6/2u

    1i<3u

    i<3u
