in a city it snowed 3/5 meter on Saturday and 1/5 meter on sunday. how much more snow is needed on Monday to reach to reach a total of 1 meter for the three days?

    The two fractions have the same denominator (bottom number) so you need to add the top numbers together:

    3/5 + 1/5 = 4/5 of snow so far.

    1 meter would be equal to 5/5 so they need 1/5 meter more (5/5 - 4/5).
