A crew of highway workers paved 3/20 mile in 40 minutes if they work at the same rate what proportion of a mile well they paid in 60 minutes

    3/20 mile in 40 minutes. multiply 3/20 by 1/2 to get how many miles in 20 minutes. so 3/40 miles is paved every 20 minutes. multiply 3/40 times 3 for 60 minutes and you get 9/40 miles paved in 60 minutes.
