The following are two sets of class scores (you may consider these scores to be normally distributed). Julia received the two scores marked with an asterisk. Did she do better or worse on the second test? Why?

First Test 48 * 56 61 60 39 49 5 57 52 51

Second Test 75 81 63 * 74 59 88 77 79 76 69 67

Can somebody offer an explanation as to how to formulate my answer for this question?

    Find the average of all the tests on the first and second test. You find the average by adding up all the test scores and dividing it by the number of test scores you added. Then you can see if she did better than the overal average on each of the tests
