    4.32

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Percentage solution with steps:

    Step 1: Our output value is 18.

    Step 2: We represent the unknown value with X

    Step 3: From step 1 above,$18=100%

    Step 4: Similarly, x=24%

    Step 5: This results in a pair of simple equations:

    $18=100 (1)

    x=24 (2)

    Step 6: By dividing equation 1 by equation 2 and noting that both the RHS (right hand side) of both

    equations have the same unit (%); we have

    18/x=100%/24%

    Step 7: Again, the reciprocal of both sides gives

    x/18=24/100

    Therefore the answer is 4.32

    (hey i actually figured out a problem for once!)
