On another pan balance, Carlo places 3 of the apple slices and 4 of the orange slices on the left side. He places 1 apple slice on the right side. How many orange slices will Carlo need to place on the right side so that pans are balanced?

    if you have 3+4=7 then 1+6=7 should be 6 to balance
