The development of antibiotics has revolutionized the treatment of infectious disease. However, antibiotics overuse is a major contributor to the development of antibiotics-resistant bacteria. Antibiotics resistant is a genetic trait. What effect could antibiotics-residents bacteria have in the population?

    Answer:

    The life expectancy has risen due the medical advancements of the world. Antibiotics play a big part in that but they are also a big part bacteria is getting stronger. Antibacterial resistance in bacteria would mean the population would take a huge hit. Infections may become incurable and would require amputation. If the infection gets too bad, death. We would depend on our immune system far more in hospitals and will lose many lives. Diseases like Streptococcus Pyogenes causes strep throat and affects 700 million a year with a mortality rate of 25% but that number would rise and be more deadly. there are even deadlier diseases that would be plague like and kill hundreds of millions annually.
