    3.6 / 30 = 4.8 / x ... 3.6 miles to 30 min = 4.8 miles to x minutes

    cross multiply because this is a proportion

    (3.6) (x) = (30) (4.8)

    3.6x = 144

    x = 144/3.6

    x = 40 minutes ... so it would take 40 minutes to jog 4.8 miles
