    2 chaperones for 8 students = 1 chaperone for 4 students

    160/4 = 40 ... so that means 40 chaperones for 160 students

    another way to do this ...

    2/8 = x / 160 ... 2 chaperones to 8 students = x chaperones to 160 students

    cross multiply

    (8) (x) = (160) (2)

    8x = 320

    x = 320/8

    x = 40 chaperones
