It is really easy once you understand the concept.
Let's start with an easy example.
x^2+6x=-2
Add 9 on both sides to get a perfect square
x^2+6x+9=7
Then factor on the left
(x+3) ^2=7
Then get the square root
x+3=+7 x+3=-7
x=4 x=-10
Another example.
x^2+12x+32=0
Subtract 32 from both sides
x^2+12x=-32
Add 36 on both sides to get a perfect square
x^2+12x+36=4
Factor
(x+6) ^2=4
Get the square root
x+6=2 x+6=-2
x=-4 x=-8
