Piper wants to buy enough potting soil to fill flower box that is 36 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 10 inches tall. If one bag of potting soil contains 576 cubic inches, how many bags should she buy?

My answer is 5 but not quite sure.

36 in by 8in by 10 in = volume of 2880 cubic inches. With that said, Piper wants to plot enough soil to hold a total volume of 2880 cubic in.

Since 1 bag contains 576 cubic in, we can see that 576 cubic x 5 = 2880.

Or the number of bags into 2880

Then 2880 cubic in divided by 576 cubic. 5
