Carol ran greater this week and 2/4 was the difference. (I'm pretty sure)

    1 3/4 = 7/4 as an improper fraction 2 1/4 = 9/4 as an improper fraction.

9/4 is greater than 7/4 meaning she ran greater this week.

    9/4 - 7/4 = 2/4 difference

    this week ... 1/2

    Step-by-step explanation:

    so 2.25> 1.75

and if you subtract (you can use a calculator) 1.75 from 2.25, that's. 5 which is 1/2
