    3/5

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Fraction not paid within first month = 1 - 1/4 = 3/4

    That means, the 3/4 were carried forward to second month and,

    4/5 of the 3/4 were paid on second month.;

    Fraction paid in second month = 4/5 * 3/4

    To solve this multiply the numerators separately (4*3) and the denominators separately (5*4) to give

    = 12/20

    Then find a common factor that can divide 12/20 to its simplest form; that factor is 4.

    Therefore The fraction of claims paid in second month is 3/5
