    12

    2 dozens = 24

    24/6 = 4

    4 dozens = 48

    48/6 = 8

    4+8=12

So, what you do is i would personally want to draw out the problem. What i did was i drew 24 circles (not filled in) - white) then i drew 48 circles (filled in-yellow)

Then i added 48 + 24 rand got 72. Then you divide 72 by 6 and your answer is 12. So, Alice can fill 12 cartons.
