Well I think you mean how many apples will be left over so I will answer that.

You will have 48 pies with 5 apples left over because 293 divided by 6 (which is how many apples it takes to make a pie) = 48 whole pies and remainder 5.

    293 divided by 6 = 48.8333333

    6 x 48 = 288

    293 - 288 = 5

5 apples left over, with a total of 48 pies made.
