Three friends are making a 400-mile road trip. Jack drove 1/5 of the trip, Steve drove 40% of the trip, and Stan drove the rest. How far did Stan drive?

    Stan drove 160 miles

    160 miles Because 1/5 is. 2 so 400x. 2 is 80. Then 40% is. 4 so 400x. 4 is 160. 160+80 is 240. 400-240 = 160
