Simplify this expression:

-2x+3 - (5 - 6x).

    -2x+3 - (5 - 6x)

    pretend that there is a - 1 in front of the bracket

    mutiply the bracket by - 1

    (-1) (5) = -5

    (-1) (-6x) = 6x

    -2x+3-5+6x

    -2x+6x+3-5 (combine like terms)

    Answer: 4x-2
