There are minimum 16 rungs in the ladder.

    Step-by-step explanation:

If there are 2x number of rungs in the ladder, then my initial position is x.

Now, if I climb up 3 rungs then my position is (x + 3).

    Now, if then I go down 5 rungs then my new position will be { (x + 3) - 5} = (x - 2)

    Now, again if I climb up 10 rungs then my final position will be { (x - 2) + 10} = x + 8.

Hence, if my final position is top of the ladder then x + 8 = 2x

    ⇒ x = 8

    ⇒ 2x = 16

Therefore, there are minimum 16 rungs in the ladder. (Answer)
