A nurse mixes 60cc of a 50% saline solution with a 30% saline solution to produce a 35% saline solution. How much of the 30% solution should he use?

    Let x = solution

    0.50x + 0.30x = 0.35 (2x)

    Solve for x.

    After finding x, multiply 0.30 by the value of x.
