Candi Barr has a mobile hanging in her window, and it's balanced because the weight on each side is the same.

a.) If Candi takes two triangles off of the left side and three triangles off of the right side, will the mobile still be in balance, or will it tip to one side? If so, which side? Explain how you know.

    No

    X-3 does nOt equal x-2

    To prove that let's use a random number, let's say 8

    If there were 8 triangles on each side, and you take three off on and two off the other ...

    8-3 = 8-2

    5 = 6

    That statement is false

    5 < 6

    So the side that we took two off of (the left) would be heavier and therefore will tip to the left
