Jorge uses 114ft of fencing to enclose a rectangular garden whose length is 21 ft longer than its width. What are the dimensions of the garden?

    Length = 39

    Step-by-step explanation:

    side 1 = w (width)

    side 2 = w (width)

    side 3 = w+21 (length)

    side 4 = w+21 (length)

    total = 114

    above gets turned into 4w + 42 = 114

    subtract 42 from each side to get

    4w = 72

    72/4=18

    w=18

    so plug that in to what we started with

    Width = 18

    Length = 39
