A unit rate is something of one, for example 25 mph, that's how many miles you're going every hour. to calculate a unit rate you need to set up proportions, on one side put the information you already know, on the other side make the denominator 1 and cross multiply and divide. so back to the example, you could convert it also to make it higher than one, 25 would be on top with 1 on bottom, on the other table you'd put the number you wanted such as 2, that represents 2 hours. you would then take 25*2=50 and in 2 hours you would travel 50 miles

A unit rate is how many things PER thing. EX: 5 apples per 10 minutes

    Step-by-step explanation:

To find the unit rate divide the numerator by the denominator. EX: 10/5 = 2
