Two professors are applying for grants. Professor Jane has a probability of 0.67 of being funded. Professor Joe has probability 0.26 of being funded.     Using probability from two aspects means you need to multiply. Multiplying the probabilities will give you the probability of both professors getting a grant. 0.67*0.26=0.1742 or 17.42%
