3. A car starts a trip with 20 gallons of gas in its tank. The car traveled at an average

speed of 65 miles per hour for 3 hours and consumed gas at a rate of 30 miles per

gallon. What percent of the gas in the tank was used for the 3-hour trip?

    65*3=195

    During those 195 miles the car used 1 gallon for every 30 miles which means it used 6.5 gallons of its tank

    6.5/20=0.325

    0.325 * 100 = 32.5%
