In your class 0.58 of the students bring a piece of whole fruit for a snack and 0.36 of the students bring a snack pack of crackers. Which group of students brings in more food items for snack?

    So an easier way to look at this is to think of the decimals as percentages, to convert these decimals to percentages we can multiply each by 100.

    Which gives us 58% of students with fruit, and 36% students with crackers. We know that 58% is much larger than 36%, so more students bring fruit instead of crackers.
