The amount of water that will have been pumped into the pool after 13 1/2 minutes is 243 gallons.

    Explanation:

According to the question we need to find out the amount of water that can be pumped into a pool after a span of 13 1/2 minutes we can use the unit rate and amount of water pumped after twelve minutes

    The unit rate is 36/2 = 18 gal/min.

so 1.30 minutes after 12 minutes, an additional 18x1.30 = 27 gallons will be pumped in.

Therefore the total is 216+27 = 243 gallons.
