    Step-by-step explanation:

    watermelon=w

    cantaloupe=c

    3w+2c=32 x3 9w+6c=96

    4w+3c=44 x2 8w+6c=88

    (9w+6c) - (8w+6c) =

    96-88=

    c=8

    canteloupe is 8 pounds

    3w+2 (8) = 32

    3w+16=32

    3w=16

    w=5 1/3 pounds

    watermelon is 5 1/3 pounds

    2 (5 1/3) + 8=

    10 2/3+8=

    18 2/3 pounds
