How are absolute values used to describe quantities?

    Absolute value is a number's distance from 0, so when comparing quantities, such as positive and negative, the greater absolute value is of that number.

    For ex:

    |-11| > |6|, because |-11| = 11, |6| = 6, and 11 > 6.

    So, |-11| > |6|
