    Answer: - 4 (m + 6) = - 8

We can use the distributive property for the first half of the equation.

    -4 * m = - 4m

    -4 * 6 = - 24

    -4m - 24 = - 8

Now we add 24 on bothe side sof the equation to get - 4m by itself.

    -4m - 24 + 24 = - 8 + 24

    Now we get - 4m = 16

Divide - 4 on both sides to get m by itself

    -4m/-4 = 16/-4

    Simplify and we get m = - 4
