2.23. A farmer has a crop of 2,000 orange trees at the beginning of this year.

Each year, the farmer plans to plant 250 new trees. Assuming all of the

trees from one year live into the next, which explicit formula below can be

used to determine the total number of orange trees, an' on this farm at the

end of the nth year?
