A fish tank has a base area of 45cm2 and is filled with water to a depth of 12cm. If the height of the tank is 25cm, how much water will be needed to fill the tank to the brim?

    Step-by-step explanation:

    v = 45 * 12

    v = 540cm³

    To fill the tank,

    v = 45 * 25

    v = 1,125cm³

    I'm not quite sure what the exact question is so i'll answer both;

    1.) The volume of water required to fill the tank from empty = 1,125cm³

    2.) The volume of water required to fill the tank from it's current level is

    1,125cm³ - 540cm³ = 585cm³
