The first thing I would do is divide the rate by 1 1/4, to get the amount per hour which gives us this:

    20 pages per 1 hour

Now, that we know he reads 20 pages per hour, we just divide 230 by 20 to find the amount of hours. Our answer comes out to 11.5 hours.

    230 pages divided by 25 pages = 92

    92 x 1.25 hours = 11 1/2 hours (this is the answer)
