Patsy delivers free samples of candles. She earns $35.50 per day and $0.75 for each sample she delivers. Tomorrow, Patsy wants to earn more than $160. Right and solve an inequality to determine the number of samples (n) Patsy must deliver to earn more than $160.

    160 < 0.75x + 35.50

    Subtract 35.59 from both sides to get:

    124.50 < 0.75x

    Divide both sides by 0.75 to get:

    166 < x

    She must deliver 166 samples to get $160
