    The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 362m. If the width of the garden is 84m then length of rectangular garden is 97 meters.

    Solution:

    Given that perimeter of the rectangular garden = 362 meters

    Width of the rectangular garden = 84 meters

    Let's assume length of the rectangular garden = "x" meters

    Perimeter of rectangle is given by following formula,

    Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Width)

    On substituting assumed value of length and given value of perimeter of rectangle and width, we get

    362=2 (x+84)

    On simplifying the above equation,

    362=2x+168

    2x=362-168

    2x=194

    x=97 meters

    Hence required length of rectangular garden is 97 meters.
