Twice the width of a rectangle is two inches more than the length. The perimeter is twenty one and one half inches. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

    Answer: 34 in

    P=2 (1=+w)

    perimeter = 2 sides of the same length, and 2 of the same width

    w=17
