    Step-by-step explanation:

    2 (3x-5) + 4x-10=4x+2 (x+6)

    Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

    2 (3x-5) + 4x-10=4x+2 (x+6)

    (2) (3x) + (2) (-5) + 4x+-10=4x + (2) (x) + (2) (6) (Distribute)

    6x+-10+4x+-10=4x+2x+12

    (6x+4x) + (-10+-10) = (4x+2x) + (12) (Combine Like Terms)

    10x+-20=6x+12

    10x-20=6x+12

    Step 2: Subtract 6x from both sides.

    10x-20-6x=6x+12-6x

    4x-20=12

    Step 3: Add 20 to both sides.

    4x-20+20=12+20

    4x=32

    Step 4: Divide both sides by 4.

    4x/4 = 32/4

    x=8
