Just like the way you would divide 6 by 2 for example, you do the same for this.

    The answer is 5x-2.

    You have ti subsitute

    5x^2-22x+8 = (x-4) (5x-2)

    so in (x-4) (5x-2) / x-4

    x-4 is cancelled

    the answer is 5x-2
