How to solve 2x-6+5x=7x+6

    first you would combine like terms. this is 2x+5x

    now you have 6x

    you first subtract 6 from one side to the other. (right to left)

    now that equals - 12

    so now you have 6x-12=7x

    then you would subtract 6x from 7x

    now you have - 12=x and that is your answer
