Jason wrote the mixed number 1 1/3 as the sum of three fractions. None of the fractions had a denominator of 3. How is this possible? What fractions might jason have used?

    Convert 1/3 to 2/6

    divide 1 to 1/2+1/2

    3/6+1/2+1/2 = 1 1/3
