Is each pair of systems equivalent? Explain.

2x - 3y = 14 4x - 6y = 28

5x - 2y = 8 - 15x + 6y = - 24

    Yes they are equivalent. For the first one you reduce the second equation by 2. For the second pair you reduce the second equation by - 3.
