What is the length of a rectangle with a width 16 inches and area 120 inches squared

    Area formula is length X width = area. You have the area and the width so you plug them into the equation. Length X 16 = 120. In other words you can just divide 120 by 16 (area divided by width) This also works if you were given the length. So the answer would be 7.5
