    -2 (3x-5) = 4 (x+3) - 8

    Simplify

    -2 (3x-5) = 4 (x+3) - 8

    (-2) (3x) + (-2) (-5) = (4) (x) + (4) (3) + - 8 (Distribute)

    -6x + 10 = 4x + 12 + - 8

    -6x + 10 = (4x) + (12+-8)

    -6x+10=4x+4

    -6x+10=4x+4

    Subtract 4x from both sides.

    -6x+10-4x=4x+4-4x

    -10x+10=4

Step 3: Subtract 10 from both sides.

    -10x+10-10=4-10

    -10x=-6

Step 4: Divide both sides by - 10.

    -10x

    -10

    =

    -6

    -10

    x=
