Let's say you accepted a job that pays only in a foreign currency, ryō. Just for fun, you calculate how much ryō you would have if converted into American dollars. If ten ryō is equal to one dollar, and your job pays 30,000 ryō for your best effort, how much dollars would you earn?

    1 American Dollar = 10 ryo

    You get paid 30,000

    So, divide 30,000 by 10 = 3000

    3000 american dollars
